Representatives of the United States Embassy, visit to Vacaresti

Representatives of the US Embassy in Bucharest paid a visit to the Vacaresti Natural Park on Tuesday as a sign of their commitment to environmental protection and to celebrating Air Quality Week.

David Muniz, in charge of US affairs in Bucharest, said that this area is also being studied by students of American universities and thanked those who were involved in the effort to protect this area:

David Muniz: Vacaresti Natural Park is a symbol for the resilience of nature in front of urbanization, in front of abandoned projects. At the same time it is a symbol of collaboration between the entities that are involved in protecting the park and it is also a symbol of collaboration between countries, because there are American universities that bring students here to research this space. We had Earth Day, and now we have Air Quality Day, followed by Migratory Bird Day, and Vacaresti Park is extremely relevant for all these moments in terms of what it represents.
