Relations between Ukraine and Romania will be different after the war, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba said in Bucharest.
He also said that the approach will be constructive. The head of the Romanian diplomacy, Bogdan Aurescu, stated, in his turn, answering a question regarding the military support for Ukraine, that, in general, Romania does not speak, but does a lot for the neighboring country.
"We will not forget Romania's aid", Minister Kuleba clearly answered a question from Radio Romania on how bilateral relations will change after the end of Russia's war in Ukraine, given that issues related to education in the mother tongue for the Romanian ethnics remain to be addressed, or the debts of Kiev to Romania for the investments from the Krivoirog Plant.
Dmitro Kuleba praised the Romanian ethnics who are now defending Ukraine from Russian forces.
Dmitro Kuleba: War is the moment of truth and indeed everyone shows their true face in time of war, and the real face of Romania is that of a sincere friend, who not only speaks but also does what he promises and offers concrete support to Ukraine. We will never forget this, and after celebrating the common victory, I am convinced that we will approach both issues differently than before the war.
Reporter: Romanian Minister Bogdan Aurescu was also optimistic that work on issues such as minority rights would be successfully resumed after the war and announced that Romania would continue to argue that Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia should receive EU candidate status as soon as possible.
