The Minister of Culture, Raluca Turcan, announces that next year more investments will begin, to restore some heritage buildings in the country.

She admits that the state has not intervened enough to enhance the built heritage that Romania owns.

Raluca Turcan: They are spectacular buildings, emblematic of our national identity, which are in a very advanced stage of decay, and that is why next year will be one in which we will launch some works and leave the documentation ready for investments in institutions as well cultural, but also in heritage buildings. I am talking about the Cluj Opera and Theater, the National History Museum of Romania, the Craiova Theater, the Craiova Library, the Bratianu Settlement, Villa Florica, these are investments that will start next year.

This morning, in Sibiu, the Minister of Culture participated in the celebration of the inclusion of a restaurant-cafe in the Old Center of the city in the route of historical cafes, one of the 48 cultural routes accredited by the Council of Europe.
