Radio Romania wins The Great Award of TAKTONS 2017 Novi Sad
For the third time,Radio Romania has been awarded the Great Award and the Prize for the Most Successful Radio Broadcasting Corporation.

Radio Romania has been awarded the Great Award and the Prize for the Most Successful Radio Broadcasting Corporation at the 16th edition of the TAKTONS International Competition for excellence in professional audio recordings in public radio and television networks, held during 22nd-25th November 2017 in Novi Sad, Serbia.
For the third time, Radio Romania’s sound engineers were awarded Diplomas for performing best in three of the competition’s categories, also ranking second and third in other three categories.
Diplomas for the best results were obtained by sound engineers Călin Gibescu in the classical music categories – big groups and orchestras, without audience - and Cristian Şerbu - for folk, ethno and world music - small groups and ensambles, public performance, with audience.
Sound engineers Andrei Barbu and Călin Gibescu ranked second in the jazz category - light music, small groups, audiences and jazz - light music, big band, big ensembles, audience shows, and Dan Corjos and Andrei Barbu won the third position in the classical music categories - soloists and small ensembles, public shows with an audience, and, respectively, folk music, ethno and world music - small groups, public show with an audience.
TAKTONS is organized by the Public Broadcasting Service of Vojvodina “Radio-Telavizija Vojvodine” in order to gain an evaluation and recognition of achievements in the field of professional sound recordings for a period of two years. More than one hundred entries from media outlets in Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Romania and Hungary were registered for this edition of the competition.
Radio Romania recordings presented in the competition were made on the occasion of the Radiro 2016 International Festival, the George Enescu International Festival 2017 and the live concerts performed on the Mihail Jora Concert Hall of the Romanian Broadcasting Society during 2016-2017.
