School inspectorates from the country present, this period of time, their educational offers for the professional schools and explain the advantages that these changes bring this year.
Starting the fall, the professional instruction can start with the 9th grade, for three years.
The authorities try, this way, to respond to the urgent need of qualified staff in jobs which are very much requested, like plumber, locksmith or turner.
Although Arad County has an industrial tradition of over 100 years in constructing waggons, trams and mechanical pieces, the plants find it harder and harder to employ –explained the Human Resources Director of the Waggon Plant, Marinela Vinesar.
“There is no qualified workforce in this area, because most of those who worked in this field changed their profession because of the economical situation from the past few years, and some of them who are indeed craftsmen try to find another job, but better paid abroad. The pay-off is motivating, but we can never compete with foreign companies”, stated Marinela Vinesar.
The craftsmen generation, “gone”
With an unemployment rate of 3,49 percent, Arad County companies find with difficulty workforce, especially qualified, states the County Agency of Employment and Professional Development director, Marinel Hentes.
“We are favoured here, in the west of the country, regarding the workforce by many multinational companies, in the first place, and then by the highways construction in our area, by an industry that functions well enough at the level of profile industries with tradition from Arad, respectively the two waggon plants that function –each of them –at high parameters.”
“The craftsmen generation is gone. Without the reintroduction of these professional schools is almost impossible to speak on long term about what will happen in these plants where no mistake is allowed”, states Marinel Hentes.
Cooperation with the economical agents
The professional instruction has to receive another dimension in Arad –states Claudius Mladin, the County School Inspectorate chief.
“It was decided the reintroduction of the professional schools starting year 2014, de 9th grade. We consider benefical this legislative modification. “
“It would be better to be able to pursue the economical agents to perform at least that part of practice or practical instruction within the education units, in workshops which, unfortunalety, need to be a little technologize again”, states Claudius Mladin.
The 8th graders enrollments for the professional instruction begin in May.
At the beginning of the next month, the school units will present their offer, within the “Craft Week”.
Those who will enroll for the professional instruction are not excluded from the admission procedure for continuing the high school classes.
