There are signs that negotiations for the new government, in the PSD, PNL, UDMR and national minorities formula, could resume.
UDMR leader Kelemen Hunor's visit to the government on Friday, December 20, came after he and PSD President Marcel Ciolacu had spoken on the phone yesterday, but Kelemen Hunor was not in Bucharest.
Today he came back and discussed with the PSD leader, political sources say, the continuation of negotiations on the formation of the future executive with PNL and national minorities, after, I remind you, the Social Democrat leader announced yesterday that he was taking a step back in terms of the formation of the future executive.
Moreover, the two leaders also discussed the visit of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, who is expected at the Victoria Palace this afternoon, and Kelemen Hunor was next to Marcel Ciolacu in the whole diplomatic process related to the neighboring state that helped us in the process of joining the Schengen Area, political sources said.
Returning to the future government, the sources said that the dialog between PSD, PNL, UDMR and national minorities is likely to resume as early as Friday, and even the interim liberal president Ilie Bolojan will come to the Victoria Palace.
