Yesterday, PSD members and sympathizers demonstrated in front of PD-L headquarters all over the country, after having been asked by the leader of the party to take a stand against the arrest of the head of the Argeş County Council.
PSD claims that the arrest of Constantin Nicolescu, who was charged with corruption by the National Anticorruption Directorate, has been made on political grounds.
PSD President Victor Ponta took part in the picket organised in Piteşti, where the prosecutors continued to interrogate several mayors involved in this case.
Hundreds of people gathered at the PSD headquarters in Piteşti and listened to the speech of the PSD representatives.
These speeches are meant to encourage the Argeş County Council President, Constantin Nicolescu, who is recovering at the Floreasca Hospital, where he has been operated on.
