Thousands of people gathered in Bucharest’s Victoria Square on Sunday evening, to protest against the ruling coalition, demanding resignation of both presidents of Parliament chambers.
Protesters say they fear the Executive will adopt, by Emergency Ordinance, the amendments to the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code, so that those found guilty cannot be condemned.
According to Radio Romania Reporter Iulian Olescu, people collect signatures for a citizens' initiative to amend the Constitution, in the sense of prohibiting convicted persons from taking public positions.
Rally is unauthorized and has been organized, as usual, through social networks. People also went out on the streets in Iaşi.
