Thousands of people have participated, today, in protests in Bucharest and big cities in Romania against Government’s decisions to amend the Laws of Justice, the Criminal Code and the Fiscal Code.
According to the RRA Reporter Mugur Mihăiţă, the march in Bucharest was preceded by a slight disturbance, when the gendarmes called on protesters to march on the sidewalks, to ease the traffic, or on a single direction of the driveway. Protesters though occupied the whole road and thus traffic was blocked between the Triumph Arch and Victoriei Square, because protesters headed towards the premises of the ruling Social Democratic Party, on the Kisseleff Boulevard. Several cars were blocked for a while.
Anti-governmental protests also took place in Târgu Mureş, Ploieşti, Galati, Bistrița, Iași, Tulcea, Baia Mare, Alexandria and Alba Iulia.
