Volker Reiter, organizer of the Festival: The idea is to see minorities having a resource for development. Festival slowly began to internationalize and I hope that in five, six years, ProEtnica will be the biggest intercultural festival in Europe.
ProEtnica promotes the rights of cultural expression of national minorities and, at the same time, strengthens cultural dialogue. Festival contributes to preservation and creation of intercultural peace in a pluralistic and democratic society. It is in concordance with the principles of the Council of Europe’s Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities.
Event is organized with the support of the Romanian Government - Department for Interethnic Relations, Mureș County Council and Center for Interethnic Youth Education Sighișoara.
