The local private sector is interested in keeping Romania on a pro-European and Euro-Atlantic path and supports the adoption of measures that generate stability and predictability, leading to the improvement of the capacity of state institutions to reform and invest.
The ideas were conveyed to interim President Ilie Bolojan by members of the Concordia Employers' Confederation and the Romanian Business Leaders Foundation at a meeting organized at the Cotroceni Palace.
Businessmen also expressed their concerns about the effects of the recently adopted fiscal-budgetary measures and the sustainability of public finances.
According to the Presidential Administration, Ilie Bolojan declared himself open to dialog between the private sector and political decision-makers on issues related to business and public policies with an impact on the economy.
The interim president also gave assurances that he will take all steps, within the limits of his powers, to organize free, fair and transparent elections and to regain confidence in state institutions.
