Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu presented three invoices for flights with aircraft chartered by Nordis. In a two-minute video, posted on TikTok, he says they are proof that he paid for his own trips abroad on private jets, for which he was accused in the press during the election campaign.
Reporter: Marcel Ciolacu said the flights were not funded by public or real estate company sources and that he will continue to travel economy class only, at his own expense.
The Prime Minister also pointed out that there was confusion between the travel company Nordis and its parent company of the same name, but the way the Prime Minister presented the invoices continues to create confusion.
Most of the data on the invoices has been hidden, such as their number, the date they were issued and flight information is also missing.
During the presidential election campaign, the prime minister was accused of traveling several times on Nordis' money on a private plane.
The PSD leader initially denied that he was on board. He later admitted that he had flown on that plane and last night justified his lack of transparency on those trips by a desire to protect his son's privacy.
The Nordis Group is embroiled in a real estate fraud scandal, having been accused of selling luxury apartments multiple times to different buyers.
The company is run by Vladimir Ciorba, the husband of former PSD member Laura Vicol, former head of the Chamber of Deputies' legal committee.
