Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu discussed Romania's European priorities with the ambassadors of the EU Member States at the invitation of the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council.
The head of the executive in Bucharest told them that he appreciates their support for Romania's accession to the Schengen Area by air and sea and firmly reiterated his request to clarify full accession to the free movement area as soon as possible.
It is clear that the European Union must provide a pragmatic and concrete response to the needs expressed by farmers and ensure that all European citizens are protected from the threats posed by the Russian Federation, the Prime Minister added.
He said that the government is fully committed to implementing the NRRP and attracting European funds and foreign investment.
