Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu declared that certain state institutions that do not work must be abolished, the control system and the authorization system must be rethought.
By August 31, an emergency ordinance project will be developed, which will change the system of control and authorization of centers for the elderly, disabled or children, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said. He explained that from the controls it emerged that social protection was done without empathy, like a business.
"It is clear that we are talking about institutional corruption, we are talking about local entanglements, so that the business is as profitable as possible. Moreover, there is no computer system and we are in 2023 and I am firmly convinced that with the help of the Court of Accounts we will discover that the same people are paid two or three times", says Marcel Ciolacu.
The Head of the Executive believes that in these centers there is also a need for adequate medical assistance for each person and not a flat-rate approach, as in communism.
"We are talking about elderly people and people with disabilities. The big problem is in the area with people with disabilities, where the rules should not be equal for all categories or for children. We have to think that a medical assistance and a need for a certain treatment is bigger for one category of people and smaller for another", added Marcel Ciolacu.
