President Klaus Iohannis has enacted the law on consumer vulnerability.
The document sets out social protection measures for people or families who do not have enough income to bear the cost of electricity, natural gas or other bills.
The law on consumer vulnerability will apply from November 1.
The Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Raluca Turcan, estimated that more than 500.000 households will receive financial support from the state.
