President Klaus Iohannis says that there will be no salary cuts in the budget system, as long as "he will have a say".
The head of state thus answered a question related to the economic situation in which Romania finds itself, if there is a need for salary cuts and layoffs in the budget system.
In his opinion, the public discussion on this topic "took it in a completely wrong direction". The president also said that "there is no hole" in the budget, but that things must be corrected "again, on the collection and expenditure side".
Today, according to Agerpres, the spokesperson of the Government, Dan Carbunaru, announced that all the ministries have submitted the plans to reduce budget expenditures and their integration has begun. Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca asked the ministers at the beginning of the week to present such proposals to him.
