President Klaus Iohannis particularly appreciates the message of unity of the European Union and the consolidation of the European project, delivered today by the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, in his speech in Strasbourg in front of the European Parliament.
The Head of the Romanian State welcomes Juncker’s proposal for a European Council meeting in Sibiu on March 30, 2019, during Romania's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, a summit that will address strategic issues on the future of the Community area - a press release from the Cotroceni Palace states.
The President of Romania also appreciates the reaffirmed support of European Commission for Romania to join the Schengen Zone.
