President and Prime Minister noticate the Constitutional Court

President Traian Basescu has notified the Constitutional Court concerning a possible constitutional conflict in the relationship with Prime Minister Victor Ponta.

The notification follows the refusal by the Prime Minister to countersign a series of decrees on decorating Romanian cultural personalities who led the Romanian Cultural Institute during 2005-2012.

The Constitutional Court Chairman Augustin Zegrean announced that the complaint will be considered by the Court on May 21st .

Yesterday, the Prime Minister Victor Ponta filed a complaint to the Constitutional Court with regard to the possible involvement of President Traian Basescu in the election campaign.
