“Pragmatic and objective positions”
The new Environment Minister, Attila Korodi, has declared that the priorities within the ministry are acceleration of European funds absorption, waters management and forestry reorganization.

Attila Korodi has obtained, Wednesday morning, the Environment Minister mandate.
Attila Korodi has pointed out some of the problems within the Environment Ministry.
Among them, he reminded the European funds absorption.
In his declaration, he drew attention that local authorities have to involve much more in order to accelerate the European funds absorption and, for doing this, he announced that, within the following period, specifically in the 8 months of his mandate, he will personally displace on the field, in the problematic locations, in order to give an impulse to things regarding this respect and to give clear orders to authorities.
Other priority problems at the Environment Ministry will be, according to the minister, the waters management and forestry reorganization , in order to eradicate the robberies from the country’s forests.
Regarding the major subjects at Environment Ministry, within this period –Roşia Montană, the shale gas –Attila Kodori stated only that within the following period they will be analyzed in order to formulate pragmatic and objective positions.
The prime-minister Mihai Răzvan Ungureanu, present at the mandate taking over from the Environment Ministry, has also declared that he requires Attila Korodi to involve, as quickly and effectively, in solving these problems.
The first meeting within the government, where Attila Korodi also will participate, will take place on Wednesday afternoon.
At the inauguration, from Tuesday evening, the president Traian Băsescu has expressed his hope that the new minister will quickly take decisions, either to approve, or to deny, in the case of the main exploitation projects of natural resources, because the lack of decisions is the biggest damage in these situations.
