Pope Francis leaves Romania aboard Tarom aircraft
Despite bad weather, over 2000 people came to Sibiu International Airport to wish Pope Francis a safe journey back to the Holy See.

Pope Francis has ended on Sunday his Apostolic Visit in Romania (31 May – 2 June) and left Romania from Sibiu International Airport aboard a Tarom aircraft.
Sovereign Pontiff went to Bucharest, Șumuleu Ciuc, Iași, Blaj and Sibiu and was greeted with huge enthusiasm in all the places he visited by hundreds of thousands of Christians of all confessions.
Despite bad weather, over 2000 people came to Sibiu International Airport to wish Pope Francis a safe journey back to the Holy See.
Pope Francis has been accompanied to the Sibiu International Airport by President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis and his wife Carmen, and other state officials.
People remained at the airport and waved to Pope Francis until aircraft took off.
