The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the statement of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation, stating that "Romania is a country with a pluralistic society that respects fundamental rights and the political process is conducted on a democratic basis" and that all institutions are necessary for the conduct of free and fair elections ", according to the editor of Radio Romania, Carmen Gavrila.

European Commission "seeks developments after the elections"

USL leaders said they are ready to convene the new parliament, as soon as they will be known the final official results.

USL detachedly wins the elections, according to data from BE

According to partial results provided by BEC Monday at 14.00, after counting the votes of 95.83 percent of polling, USL has gained 58.61 percent of votes for the Chamber of Deputies and 60.08 percent in the Senate.

ARD has obtained 16.58 percent and 16.79 percent, ranking the 2nd.

Other competitors that reunited the electoral threshold are the Popular Party-Dan Diaconescu, that gathers at national level, for the Senate, 14.46 percent of the vote (1,031,890 valid votes) and the Chamber of Deputies, 13.82% percent of the vote (985,730 votes).

According to partial data, it also reunited the electoral threshold of 5 percent at national level UDMR - which won the Senate, 5.31 percent of the valid votes in all colleges Senate and Chamber of Deputies for 5.21 percent of valid votes.
