Police seized thousands of firearms in the first 11 months of this year

Over 3.100 firearms were confiscated by police in the first 11 months of the year. Of the total, about 1.300 were lethal weapons and the remaining 1.800 non-lethal weapons, according to a Romanian police statement.
The seizures were made following several actions, either poaching, explosives or dangerous substances.
Law enforcement officials also say that of the confiscated weapons around 1.220 were illegally possessed.
More than 277.000 pieces of ammunition were also seized. As for hunting operations, almost 1.000 kg of hunting meat, more than 700 trophies and 45 poaching vehicles were seized. In other operations almost 80 tons of pyrotechnic articles were seized.
