PNL wants the presidential elections to be held in November

PNL proposes November 10 and 24 as the dates for the presidential elections. The party's first vice-president, Rares Bogdan, says that the Liberals are, however, willing to agree on an intermediate date, agreed with the coalition partners.

"We, the National Liberal Party, believe that Romania's citizens need to be extremely well informed, they need to be able to follow extremely important presidential debates on the country's project in order to vote in full knowledge of the facts; and for this very reason we believe that we must keep the constitutional calendar, the November calendar for organizing the presidential elections", said Rares Bogdan.

A new meeting of coalition leaders could take place on Friday.
