Pilgrimiges on Assumption Holy Day

Tens of thousands of Orthodox and Catholic Christians went on pilgrimiges to the monasteries having as titular saint the Virgin Mary and her Assumption.

The Orthodox believers went to Nicula, Rohia, Moisei, Sambata and Putna, while the Catholic faithful went to Radna and Cacica.

President Traian Basescu attended mess at Izvorul Muresului.

Prime Minister Victor Ponta attended the holy service at Putna monastery, for the third consecutive year.
