People who do not have an employment contract can also register individually in the state social insurance system in order to have the right to paid holidays or medical insurance, according to an emergency ordinance adopted by the Government in the last meeting.
The monthly income entered in the insurance contract will not be able to exceed the value of three minimum gross salaries for any type of sick leave.
The initiators of the draft emergency ordinance, which was recently passed by the Executive, claim that there is a discrepancy between the amount of contributions and the money paid as allowance, therefore, the monthly income will no longer be able to exceed the value of three minimum gross salaries per country for any type of medical leave, including for pregnancy or maternity leave.
On the other hand, the mentioned income must be the same as that entered in the tax return submitted for the payment of the health contribution or, as the case may be, with the average of the monthly income entered in the return.
Those interested must know that all contracts in progress at the date of entry into force of this emergency ordinance will be modified by additional documents, by notifying the Health Insurance House.
The initiators of the project also say that the changes made through this draft emergency ordinance aim to implement a fair and unitary mechanism for the calculation of social health insurance allowances, so that the funds allocated in this area are managed as well as possible.
