Patriarch Daniel in Russia on historic visit
Today, the delegation of the Romanian Orthodox Church and Patriarch Daniel are scheduled a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

A delegation of the Romanian Orthodox Patriarchate, headed by Patriarch Daniel, is in Moscow until December 5, at the invitation of Patriarch Kirill of Russia, to attend the events marking the centenary of the restoration of the Russian Patriarchate and the Local Council of 1917-1918.
Patriarch Daniel’s participation at the events organized by the Moscow Patriarchate was one of the topics discussed during the private meeting of the Russian and Romanian Patriarchs held in Bucharest on 27 October 2017, when Romanians celebrated St.Dimitrie the New, the protector of Bucharest.
Patriarch Daniel officiated the liturgy at Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow, where the relics of the St.Matrona of Moscow are, and then met Patriarch Kirill at his residence at the Saint Daniil Monastery in Moscow.
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke at a meeting of the Bishops' Council of the Russian Orthodox Church, at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow, with the occasion of the 100thanniversary of restoring the Patriarchate in Russia.
Today, the delegation of the Romanian Orthodox Church and Patriarch Daniel are scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin.
