RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - The value of the mandatory policy for home insurance would be increased from 100 to 130 lei this week in the Chamber of Deputies, which is the decision-making body for the project to amend the law on insurance against earthquakes, landslides and floods. Deputies could also reintroduce the fines for the lack of mandatory insurance. In the Chamber of Deputies, the drafts of the new education laws, which aim to reduce functional illiteracy and school dropouts, would also be debated, probably in emergency procedure.

Details in the report signed by RRA correspondent Catalin Purcaru: "The project on pre-university education proposes the introduction of new mandatory assessments at the end of the 2nd, 4th and 6th grades in the subjects of language and communication, mathematics, and science. The baccalaureate exam will have more tests, and high schools will be able to organize entrance exams for 60% of available spots. The article on the salary of fresh teachers was removed, which would have meant a 60% increase in the lowest educational allowances. The draft law on higher education also provides for increasing the period of university doctoral studies to four years, compared to the current three. The opposition criticizes the proposed measures, but the leaders of the governing coalition have promised to adopt the new laws by the end of the current parliamentary session. The debate on the project on special pensions would begin in the specialized commissions. The granting of European money from the NRRP through the third payment request depends on the adoption of the normative act. At the vote of the Chamber of Deputies' plenary session, the decision-making body, the project is also expected, which provides for the increase of the home insurance premium against natural disasters, from 100 to 130 lei. At the same time, buildings with a red dot can be insured. Although previously removed by senators, fines for not having mandatory home insurance have been reinstated. Thus, the lack of the policy could be sanctioned with a fine of up to 500 lei. Last but not least, on Tuesday, at the "Government Hour" debate, the deputies are waiting for the Minister of Finance, Adrian Caciu. USR asked for explanations regarding the state budget receipts situation for the first three months of the year."
