Ozone concentrations in Romania ‘close to normal’
The ozone concentrations will stay close to normal values and the mass of air which is about to pass over Romania will not have significant radioactive polluting concentrations, the National Meteorological Administration announces.

According to a press release from the NMA, the concentrations of radioactive elements recorded in the masses of air that have come above Europe are of a small value.
The NMA considers that the masses of air which have come from Japan and which the next days will cross over Europe, inclusively Romania, do not require protective measures for population.
According to the measurements on the Romanian territory the values of the total ozone concentrations are the usual ones for this period of year.
Furthermore, for the next period, on the interval 30 March - 5 April, the concentration values will be near the normal values on this period.
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has turned on, at the request of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the weather specialized regional centres.
The centres have got the responsibility to provide forecasts for the trajectory and dispersion of the radioactive polluting cloud coming from Fukushima Nuclear Plant.
