18 ships and 50 barges anchored in Danube for almost three weeks started to be pushed downstream, as consequence to the ice bridge breaking.
The boats are drifting in this moment, their ropes being broken.
Due to a risk the navigation system to be affected, at 12 o’clock p.m. at the prefecture the committee for emergency situations has gathered in order to assess the situation on Danube.
Sunday evening, the ship Ada 1, loaded with 700 tones of cereals, started to incline, and during the night has sunk.
For the moment, it is unknown the area where this happened, as Constantin Anghel, the chief captain of the port Călăraşi, declared.
In this moment there is any sailor on board, these ones leaving the ship even since Sunday.
The county prefect, Emil Muşat, specified that the naval authorities were announced and that the solution would be a pusher which has to come from Sulinia to Călăraşi in order to fix the ships.
The floating water intake station was affected, but there is any danger that the inhabitants of the county to remain without water.
Because of the fact that in this moment the station is not used, the water is captured and supplied through another system.
