Over 400 candidates will become resident doctors
Almost one hundred candidates have signed up for the 98 places open for competition, and the rest have chosen for the 318 vacancies.

420 candidates have registered to participate in the extraordinary residency contest held on 20 May, according to a press release from the Health Ministry.
Among these, 95 are competing for the 98 places open for competition, and the remaining 325 have chosen for the 318 vacancies.
The Health Ministry decided earlier this year, to organize a new competition for entry the residency.
The decision was taken after a significant percentage, approximately 40percent of vacancies in the 20 November 2011 session have remained unfilled.
Most unoccupied places and positions are in specialties where there is a shortage of medical staff in the health system, such as emergency medicine, neonatology, AIC( Anaesthesia and Intensive Care) and paediatrics, said the Health Ministry.
The candidates for residency contest from 20 May will hold the test only in Bucharest University Centre.
The contest will run as a multiple-choice test with 200 questions and will last four hours.
Minimum score to promote is 60percent of maximum score achieved at the 200 questions.
Specialty occupation places will be made in the order of promotion score obtained.
For the job residency , the classification will be made for each county separately.
The candidates will be assigned to rooms in alphabetical order.
The lists with candidates distribution in rooms will be posted 24 hours before the competition starts.
On May 17 , applicants may find the rooms where the contest will be held on the website of University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" Bucharest.
