Oltchim "is a good company and it can be saved"
The conclusions of a preliminary report show that Oltchim has debts of 800 million Euros and a need for 200 million euro refurbishment.

The main reasons for which Oltchim became insolvent are buying the petrochemical assets of Arpechim and the absence of a correlation between wage and income company, says the Economy Minister, Varujan Vosganian.
He said that the average gross salary at Oltchim platform is 4,000 lei per month, and in 2009-2012, the total number of employees decreased by 12 percent, while the payroll increased by 40 percent.
Also, the conclusions of the preliminary report, prepared by the receivers, shows that Oltchim has debts of 800 million euro and a need for 200 million Euros for refurbishment.
Economy Minister, Varujan Vosganian, believes, however, that, at the moment, Oltchim Plant is a good company that can make a profit.

Simple motion on Oltchim
Oltchim plant situation is also the subject of this first simple motions from this term, filed Tuesday by the PDL parliamentary group in the Chamber of Deputies, according to editor Romania News, Iulia Gherman.
In the document entitled "Government Ponta - unemployed factory", the signatories ask the Minister of Finance, Daniel Chitoiu, and the Economy Minister, Varujan Vosganian, to take responsibility for the situation which the factory reached, and Prime Minister Victor Ponta - to publicly apology for the situation in which the company founds.
The initiators also require the rapid presentation of a recovery plan and privatization of Oltchim.
The motion will be debated on Monday, March the 4th and the vote will be on Tuesday, March the 5th.
