The mayor of the city of Jimbolia claims that oil deposits, that have recently been discovered, will help to the increase of employment rate but when exploiting workers must take into account environmental protection rules.
Jimbolia, Timiş, has about 1.5-6 barrels deposits of oil as estimated.
Around the ‘80s, after exploiting two fields, Zeta Petroleum Company got to the estimation aforementioned.
The company’s agents assert that they are looking for solutions in order to exploit under very safe conditions of oil production and environmental protection.
The Mayor in Jimbolia, Kaba Gabor, claims that oil exploitation in the area could grant many jobs for the inhabitants but the operation must be carried out by taking into account environmental protection.
‘Discovering an oil deposit is very good for Jimbolia. This involves the increase of employment rate and the possibility of using the oil in the distribution red of the natural gas. Workers should pay attention to the conditions related to environmental protection in order to avoid the contamination of the farmlands around’, the Mayor said.
Last year, the company conducted some experiments and the end of the survey reveals that the companies can start exploiting.
The authorization for Jimbolia concerns two lands firstly discovered in the ‘80s: the Old Jimbolia and the Western Jimbolia, two areas where gas deposits were found and which the company wants to use.
