October 2021, the highest number of deaths due to the pandemic

RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - In October, the highest number of deaths, since the beginning of the pandemic, was recorded: 44.595 people, according to official data published yesterday by the National Institute of Statistics.
The death toll was almost three times higher than that of live births, being the largest negative increase in 20 months.
The main cause of death, however, was not respiratory diseases, but those of the circulatory system, accounting for over 46% of all deaths.
Official statistics also show that only 15.613 children were born in October, almost 2.200 fewer than in the previous month.
