Number of registered cars in Romania is growing
The Directorate for Driving and motor vehicle registration number of registrations of new vehicles increased by 26 percent in February over the same period in 2010.

The Directorate for Driving Licenses and Vehicles Registration Certificates (DRPC) announced that the number of registrations of new vehicles in February increased with 26 percent over the same month in 2010, to 4724 units, and number of cars increased with 22 percent to 3238 units.
According to the statistics from the DRPC, registrations of used cars decreased in February with 13 percent to 9088 units.
A total of 64 mopeds and motorcycles were registered in February, three times fewer than in January but with five more units compared to February of 2010.
According to figures from DRPC, Dacia is the most sold car in February, with 70 percent more than the same period last year, Skoda was close behind with an increase of 40 percent and Volkswagen with an increase of 1 percent.
According DRPC, in early 2011 there have been registered 33 percent more new vehicles than in 2010.
Also, the number of new car registrations grew by 24 percent in January over the same period last year.
