Nicolae Ciuca - the prime minister appointed by President Klaus Iohannis

After President Klaus Iohannis announced his appointment as interim prime minister, Nicolae Ciuca said he would begin negotiations to support the new government in parliament:

We understand the entrustment of this mandate as a gesture of responsibility that we must have in these difficult times, in order to overcome the crisis situation we are in, so that citizens can benefit from all that a government can provide, through the decisions and actions it takes. In this regard, we will negotiate with all responsible forces so that in as short a time as possible we will be able to form the government and also negotiate so that the proposed government can be approved in Parliament.
