New Romanian ambassador to the United States

Romania's new ambassador to the United States, Iulian Buga, presented his credentials to President Barack Obama, in a ceremony held at the White House.

In terms of his own mandate, he insisted on expanding and strengthening bilateral trade and economic relations.

Iulian Buga also insisted on Romanians reasonable expectations on their access to the United States and our country's inclusion in the Visa Waiver, as soon as possible.

Before taking office in Washington, Iulian Buga was Romania's ambassador to Ireland and to the Kingdom of The Netherlands.
