New record of COVID cases reported in a single day in Romania, 40.018 new infections were announced today, a level that the authorities expected. One of three tests was positive.
Nearly 10.000 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, of whom 937 are in Intensive Care Units. 97 deaths were also reported.
The highest incidences are in Timis and Cluj counties, with approximately 24 cases per thousand inhabitants. There is also a very high increase in incidence in the capital, where more than 21 cases per thousand inhabitants were exceeded.
