European Commission Representation in Bucharest announces new investments in Romania: European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide a € 7 million loan to GreenFiber International to finance a recycling and circular economy project.
The action is supported by the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), which is the main component of the Investment Plan for Europe, the so-called Plan Juncker.
The project will support the creation of 280 jobs and will increase the amount of collected and processed waste by over 50,000 tons per year.
Also under the Romanian SME Initiative, the European Investment Fund (EIF) will sign three new agreements with BRD-Groupe Société Générale, ING and Libra Internet Bank, which will facilitate access to finance for approximately 300 SMEs and start-ups, interested in developing their business.
