New Head of the Romanian Police
Premier Victor Ponta signed the Internal Affairs Minister’s proposal of appointing Petre Tobă as head of the Romanian Police replacing Liviu Popa.

Prime Minister Victor Ponta changed the leadership of the Romanian police, at the proposal of the Internal Affairs Minister, the Police Chief, Liviu Popa, being replaced by quaestor Petre Tobă.
The head of Romanian police, Liviu Popa, was changed from the position that he has and will lead the Police Inspectorate of the County Bihor, from which, in October 2009, came as the head of the Directorate General for Anti-corruption and thereafter during the term of the Internal Affairs Minister Traian Igaş in November 2010, has been named to the leadership of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian police.
The proposal to change the head of Romanian police comes a few days after Premier Victor Ponta asked Internal Affairs Minister, Ioan Rus, a report related to the general situation of the general watched people , that once after Sile Cămătaru ran away..
The Prime Minister also stated that the chiefs of Police who will be found guilty of this situation will be thrown out.
At the head of the Romanian police General Inspectorate will be named the Secretary of State in Petre Tobă.
He was appointed in March by the Minister Gabriel at the head of the Order and Public Safety in May.
Petre Tobă was sacked in November 2010 at the head of Romanian police, and also being liberated and Dan Valentin Fătuloiu from the Chair of the Department of public safety and Order.
