A new border crossing point has opened today between Romania and Bulgaria, Lipnita-Kainargea, and the Romanian and Bulgarian Prime Ministers are attending the inauguration ceremony.
The two Heads of Government will then go to Varna for the fourth joint working meeting of the Romanian and Bulgarian Executives, where Prime Minister Mihai Tudose will have a tête-à-tête meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart, Boyko Borisov.
On the Agenda of the Romanian-Bulgarian meeting are economic cooperation, transport and energy infrastructure, regional and cross-border cooperation.
The European issue and the coordination perspectives in the preparation of the first EU Presidencies to be held by Romania and Bulgaria are also topics of the discussions, especially due to the fact that the two countries share a series of objectives and common positions on the future of the European Union.
At the end of the government meeting, in the presence of Mihai Tudose and Boyko Borisov, a Joint Declaration will be signed on the main directions of bilateral, regional and European, Euro-Atlantic and international cooperation.
In Varna will also be signed today a series of bilateral sectoral documents, and the Head of the Romanian Government will participate at the high-level quadrilateral meeting between Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Greece, starting at 17:00.
