The Romanian Minister Delegate for European Affairs, Victor Negrescu, believes that Romania needs an institutional and political consensus in terms of relation with the European institutions.

He chaired a weekly meeting on European issues, where he discussed Romania’s preparations to take over the EU Presidency in 2019 and about the stage of EU law application.

Minister Negrescu announced that a public consultation platform would be set up in view of this process, involving both state authorities and the civil society – according to a press release.

It is necessary to improve the way we relate with the European institutions, in the sense of seriousness and pragmatism, and the coordination among the institutions is a priority, Negrescu also said.
