Nearly 300,000 Romanian are living and working in Germany and they are very well integrated in the labor market and in the society, said the German Minister of Labour, Andrea Nahles, in Bucharest.
After a meeting with his Romanian counterpart, Rovana Plumb, Andrea Nahles also said that the very good bilateral relation must be extended from national to local level through partnerships between cities in Romania and Germany.
By the end of the year, the two countries will sign up a Memorandum of Understanding to support young people, vulnerable groups and elderly people, specified Rovana Plumb, who praised the way the federal government treats and respects Romanian workers.
The partnership based on the Romanian-German exchange of experience will be supported with funds from the European Union.
