The price of natural gas will change for the population until April 2012.
Industrial consumers will suffer, however, the price increase expected for the next period.
This is the decision taken on Thursday, which, at the request of the European Commission, should eliminate energy subsidies.
Through this Emergency Ordinance the separation between the natural gas consumption share for households and the one for industrial consumers has been approved.
This way, so say the experts, in case of price increases, household consumers will not be affected.
Household consumers will mainly benefit of natural gas from the internal production, whose price is much lower, as one explanation give also by the experts, goes.
The ordinance establishes for household consumers and producers of heating energy for the population a mixed import-export structure, in which the share of imported natural gas quantities is determined in such a way that the final prices remain constant.
According to the same Ordinance, the measure applies starting the 1st of July, for a period of nine months.
Several variants proposed by the working group, established at the Minister of Economy were analyzed, all having in common protecting the household consumer.
However, in terms of industrial consumers, it seems the price increases will be made gradually.
