"Ethnic cleansing in Baia Mare", Evenimentul Zilei states.
According to the publication, the town hall has moved two thousand Romani people from one part of the town to a former laboratory of the Cuprurom chemical plant.
Called the "Death plant", this facility was shut down six years ago, as it ranked second among the most polluted places in the country, after Copşa Mică.
During the night, the Romani children became sick and were taken to the hospital in ambulances.
Under the headline: "Moving up the election date – between Constitution and necessity", in Jurnalul Naţional we read about the Prime Minister’s proposal, which has caused animated discussions between the governing party and the opposition.
Victor Ponta claims that both sides stand to gain if the parliamentary elections are held in October. Find out to what extent in the newspaper.
"Stealth Revolution pensions", one of the articles from Adevărul headlines, stating that, although the Boc government had announced, at the end of last year, that the payment of indemnities will be postponed until 2012, many controversial characters of the 1989 Revolution are still being paid on a monthly basis, speculating on the error of the very same government.
"The 5 lei euro – just a matter of time" is the opinion of Mişu Negriţoiu, head of ING Bank, presented by Evenimentul Zilei.
According to the cited specialist, the European crisis and a weak Romanian economy are to blame.
Mişu Negriţoiu estimates that the leu cannot be a stable currency in a context where only four million Romanians have a job at the moment.
Ziarul Financiar informs us that Romanians are depositing increasingly large amounts of money at Greek bank branches, and notes that the temptingly advantageous interest rates are overshadowing the potential risks.
Capital devises a top of the best bank products, after carefully analysing various offers for credit, cards and deposits.
The same publication notes that the inaugural ribbons are stepping further away from the highways under construction.
Consequently, little progress has been made with regard to infrastructure projects within the last few months, and the deadlines have been, yet again, exceeded in some cases.
After the manufacturing company announced that they will no longer produce the over forty-year old famous brand, Adevărul offers information on "The life and death of the Soviet people’s car: Lada".
In Old Russian, Lada means boat and it is symbolised by a Viking on a ship.
"Queen Elisabeth II has opened the Diamond Jubilee ceremony", Jurnalul Naţional announces, stating that, despite the rain and cold, one million British people came on the Thames shore to witness the ceremonies marking the passing of sixty years since their Monarch first stepped onto the throne.
