"Convicted" - headlines on the front page Evenimentul Zilei regarding the magistrates’ decision from the High Court of Cassation and Justice in the case of Quality Trophy, in which the former Prime Minister Adrian Năstase has been sentenced to two years of imprisonment. The author of the article gives details about charges, about other persons convicted in the case and as well as about the composition of the panel who gave the sentence in this case. In addition, The Day Event brings in attention the reactions from politicians after Adrian Năstase’s conviction and gets quotes from foreign media coverage of the subject, which emphasized that the decision is rare in Europe.
"The dispute between Palaces jams the relationship with the European Council" writes Adevărul about the situation of Romania's representation at the meeting on June 28. The newspaper gives details about the composition of our country's delegation to the European Council meeting at the end of the month and notes that president Traian Băsescu is not on the list sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brussels. Prime Minister is on this list, but the document does not bear the signature of the Chief of State - completes The Truth and explains, citing political strains, which is the protocol to be followed in such situations. Also, negotiations are remembered on the theme remembered between the prime minister and head of state and gives examples of similar disputes in other European countries.
Under the heading "Who are Ponta’s judges", România Liberă analyzes the situation created by the charges of plagiarism to the Prime Minister Victor Ponta.
