The main topic in today's newspapers is, of course, the vote to suspend the president: how to count in euro the political instability and why the suspension would be beneficial for Băsescu's popularity. We find about a number of sites where we can follow the route of public funds and what promises politicians made and then violate.
"The President, again to the court of Parliament", we read in România Liberă.
The forced change of the legal framework of suspension and urgency in which things happen could lead to a "victimization" of the president and also to the increase of his supporters - estimates România Liberă.
"Băsescu wants a flawless suspension," writes Jurnalul Național.
Yesterday, in parliament, the president has supported his view on the application for suspension and said that he wants the referendum to be voted for dismissal by those who did not have low pensions during his term - "a desire as a curse, "writes the Journal.
Evenimentul Zilei, with other views: "Băsescu has started the referendum campaign."
The president is trying to mobilize the active voters, pro-European.
This is even more at stake than the referendum, "considers Ion Cristoiu.
Adevarul says that "the USL roller scared even Hollande's socialists. France joins Germany and warns Ponta Government".
The representatives of hexagon ask Brussels to put România "in monitoring".
While the euro parliamentarians from the Popular Group said they would start proceedings to punish our country at the highest level.
And România Liberă asks whether the Justice report will be delayed until after examining the measures taken by Ponta government and parliament on the institutions of Justice.
About other consequences, in Ziarul Financiar: "Political instability could cost Romania 1 million per day in interest on debt growth."
From România Liberă we hear about a project that already has a year: "Restart Romania. An invitation to the fight against corruption on the Internet".
Project initiators have launched a series of sites that try to empower citizens, politicians and institutions.
Their message: "Get an account! Do not take us for losers in the campaign and resigned a full term."
In Jurnalul Național, we read that "the Bucharest-Ploiești highway raises funds for terminally ill patients. The kings of asphalt, forced to give 15 million lei to Health" – i.e. the value of penalties for delays.
Highway, begun in 2008, had to be ready last year: a total of only 62 kilometers.
"Thaw in North Korea: women are allowed to wear heels, pants and earrings", we find from Adevărul.
It produces a kind of "implant of capitalism in the most closed country in the world": mobile phones in stores, pizza, French fries and hamburgers - things that until recently were inconceivable in this country.
