"Why cannot wages increase by 26 percent," headlines Jurnalul Național .
The author of the article reminds that the senators have rejected the draft law on increasing the salaries by 26 percent compared with December 2011, increasing the pension point, thawing public sector employment and the repeal of restrictions on purchases of cars and furniture.
The daily points out by the State Secretary’s statement for Finance, Liviu Voinea, why USL Government did not support an initiative coming from PSD and reminds the measures already taken by the Executive or the measures that are under analysis. Liviu Voinea said that the IMF and EU disagree with a spending increase of 4.8 percent of GDP, because these would be offset by measures to lead also to revenues increase.
Under the heading "Changes in Health Law which hit your pocket", Evenimentul Zilei brings into attention the changes in the draft law and their financial implications. The daily presents the news in the field and summarizes: "a private insurance will cost more than 400 euros per year and the co-insured will pay 38 lei a month".
We change the area of interest with Adevărul that writes - "USL: postponing the elections and recalls the CCR" - and notes that leaders seek alternatives to save the pure single vote law, recently rejected by the Constitutional Court. The daily show how USL could react to CCR decision, but points out that so far the Court's reasoning was not officially published and, consequently, lawmakers convened today in the special session cannot take any decision on changing the electoral law.
Adevărul details the official agenda of the extraordinary session of Parliament and reveals that, "at yesterday's meeting with USL lawmakers, power leaders have hinted that they could supplement the action agenda against President Traian Băsescu, but without giving details."
Finally, România Liberă seeks to answer the question "What prepares Corlățean to prosecutors?", in the context of the Justice Minister's announcement of a possible delay until after the publication of the country report, of the proposals that he has to made for appointments to the DNA.
The publication notes Titus Corlățean’s motivation, who wants to avoid generating a conflict near an important event, and describes the mechanism by which prosecutors are appointed to DNA and the General Prosecutor.
