A bank has illegally increased the interest on a loan, we read in ROMÂNIA LIBERĂ. The High Court of Cassation and Justice(ICCJ) has found the Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR) guilty for abusively increasing the interest on a loan and could be obliged to pay damages of 20,000 Euros.
“Baffles with Holland. The Holland’s ambassador submitted to silence”, writes ADEVĂRUL. The new Romania’s contrary, after the flower and vegetables war, is the accreditation postponing of Holland’s ambassador at Bucharest, who has been waiting for more than 3 months. Our accession to Schengen would be a reason for it, diplomatic sources said. Is it a good move? In the daily we read some former foreign affairs ministers’ opinions.
Projects which could ease the traffic in Bucharest are conditioned by the local election date, considers EVENIMENTUL ZILEI, on whose front page we read: “Mocks regarding Passage Pipera! The capital mayor has postponed with 6 months the inauguration only to cut the ribbon during election campaign!”. On the paper, instead, it was five times inaugurated. 170 hours are spent within the traffic by each driver who cannot cross the passage.
Canadian ambassador to Bucharest has met at the government with Andreea Paul Vass, the prime-minister’s counselor. There are made pressures on Cupru Min, writes JURNALUL NAŢIONAL and asks itself if the company from Abrud is a black hole or a pearl of economy. The huge problem of the privatization would be the following: Cupru Min has the right to exploit the biggest deposit of Europe until 2019, deposit which is evaluated at 13-14 billion Euros, according to the Economy Minister.
ZIARUL FINANCIAR brings us into focus an element ignored so far regarding this privatization which is in spotlight. Who bought all the copper from Cupru Min and sells now in China? A limited liability company (SRL) with 6 employees: Ronefer Voluntari, which has registered last year incomes of 36,4 million Euros. The journalists have discussed with the “Copper Lady”, Maria Gherghe, who owns the company.
“Dinel’s octopus in the justice world”, headlines ROMÂNIA LIBERĂ. The judges from Bucharest saved Dinel Staicu from seven -year imprisonment, but they came yesterday to National Anticorruption Department (DNA). Dinel’s connections within the justice world prove to be extremely interesting as we get closer to Craiova, where he was successful in all the cases. România Liberă sustains that it discovered at the Appeal Court Craiova two well connected judges regarding the interests of ex head of Financial Investment Company (SIF) Oltenia.
Have you ever bitten by a stray dog? LIBERTATEA teaches us how to obtain damages from municipality. All we need is two witnesses and a medical certificate which proves the bites –has explained the judge who ruled in favor of an applicant in Râmnicu Vâlcea.
