"Next year’s crops, almost compromised", the Adevărul headlines.

The newspaper has drawn a diagram of the affected areas and listed the types of crops with a high degree of risk, for both 2012 and this autumn.

The article quotes the pedology specialists who warn that because of the low humidity on the ground, the autumn sowing is being delayed and plants may not withstand frost this winter.

There are also noted the consequences of the lack of rainfall lately and in contrast it is presented the opinion of the Minister of Agriculture, Valeriu Tabără, according to whom it is not the case to discuss drought yet.

He argued that, quote: "If we look at the statistics, this autumn drought has been present in almost 8 out of 10 years".

Under the headline "What remains after the painful memory of the crisis", the Curierul naţional summarizes the conclusions drawn yesterday at the financial forum.

The newspaper also quotes ideas from the speech of the NRB governor Mugur Isarescu and his adviser, Lucian Croitoru, who spoke about the mistakes that led to the current global economic situation and its consequences on social and political level.

"Romania is fighting windmills", the România liberă announces on the first page and explains: "Transelectrica proposes to limit the capacity installed in the wind powers". The reason invoked by the company director was that these units might disrupt the power system.

The daily writes about the solutions offered by director of Transelectrica on the incorporation of the wind power in the network, including the energy use for heating and water.

The Evenimentul Zilei writes about "Braşov, the first city without stray dogs" and reveals what measures have led to a substantial reduction in the number of stray dogs.

The newspaper also compares it with the situation in Bucharest and emphasises the authorities’ position towards this phenomenon on one hand and the NGOs on the other hand.
