The recent decision of the High Court of Cassation and Justice regarding the forfeit of the fortune that the defendant cannot justify, the governmental programme to sustain young entrepreneurs, and the alarming rise of the global population are some of the topics covered in today’s newspapers.
“The long road to confiscation of fortunes”, the România Liberă writes about the final decision that the High Court of Cassation and Justice gave last week in the case of a company manager that could not justify the money he possessed.
The author of the article also quotes an anticorruption expert, who estimates that the decision made by the High Court of Cassation and Justice in this case sets a precedent which is expected to shorten the duration of other similar lawsuits.
Under the headline “Who they are and what the young entrepreneurs do”, the Evenimentul Zilei writes about “the programme for the stimulation of establishing and developing small enterprises by young entrepreneurs”.
On one side, the newspaper notes that the opinion the candidates who have been rejected from this programme, and on the other side, exposes the problems encountered by those who have managed to launch a business with help from the state.
According to the president of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Romania, quoted by the Evenimentul Zilei, one of the biggest flaws of the governmental programme is “checking the authenticity of the information of the business plans and then making the occasional assessment to observe the fulfillment of the requirements by the beneficiaries”.
From the Jurnalul Naţional we find out that “Airplanes Craiova wants to establish air police”.
The article is about the intention of the vendor from Oltenia to create a type of airplane that can carry out “air police” operations and that will be sold overseas in 2012.
The newspaper reveals the economic situation of the company and the attempts to get out of the impasse by presenting several projects to foreign groups.
‘Seventh billion inhabitant of Earth was born today”, the Adevărul announces.
The article mentions that the global population has exceeded today a historical threshold that triggers many warning alarms. Specialists point out the problem of exhausting natural resources.
The daily also presents a chart of the most populated countries on the globe in 2050.
The overpopulation seems to have social consequences as well, among which, according to American specialists, lack of privacy, alienation and the raise of aggressiveness.
